DIY: personalized fridge magnet
17/05/2014
Hi,
Welcome to my very first DIY post (documented that is, hehe). I wish I had the chance to post this project before mothers day to give you all some inspiration to create your very own gift.
But hopefully this will inspire you to create it for any other occasion or even as momento for your fridge.
So here it goes…
This is what you will need…..
-
Cutting tool, it can be scissors, cutting knife or a cutter.
-
Mod podge
-
Designed image
-
Sponge
To get started print your image on a laser printer and cut to a required size.
What you
will need.
Make sure
you press your image from the inside to the outside.
Next apply a thin coat of mod podge to the back of your image and than press your image onto the magnet.
Don't stress about corners that might lift. A little dab of mod podge will fix it.
Using your sponge apply mod podge to the top of your image. Giving it a good coat in one direction..
And here is a little tip:
With your finger apply a bit of mod podge to the edges of the magnet to prevent it from peeling off.
And that’s it. Quick and easy project for so many occasions.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and feel free to send me an image of your finished project.
If you like the idea but aren’t the crafty type, send me a mail and I’ll be happy to make one for you.
